FOR PRESCHOOLERS AND FAMILIES


CDPS provides support services through a variety of grant-funded projects utilizing the expertise of specialists. These specialties include early care and education; early literacy and language development; school readiness and kindergarten transition; social and emotional skills development; health education; parent and family support; and community partnership. These projects are designed to bring enhanced services, mentoring, and support directly to early learning and care sites to improve quality care and education offered to children.

Cal Fresh Early Learning

 
Butte County Office of Education Child Development Programs and Services (CDPS) in collaboration with the County’s Public Health Department, offers the opportunity for early learning and care programs serving SNAP-ED eligible children and families to participate in nutrition and physical activity promotion. Child Development Programs and Services has been working with the local health department for a number of years to support the implementation of nutrition and physical activities in several of the county's state preschool programs.  Funding for this program is provided by the US Department of Agriculture SNAP-ED program.
